Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Nausea, Vomiting, Leg Pain And Pain Under The Rib Cage?
I ve had severe nausea and occasional vomiting for 12 weeks now. It s awful. Also I wake up with throbbing legs and it makes the nausea worse. I can t sleep with the sensation in my legs. I had a couple of incidents of extreme gallbladder pain in between all of this and an ultrasound showed gallstones, sludge and a slightly thickened gallbladder. They want to do surgery. They think this is the cause but I m not sure that it is. The pain isn t there much but the other symptoms are all of the time. Could it really be cholecystitis or something being missed.
The abdomen symptoms of nausea, vomiting and pain under rib cage co relate with the underlying gall stones. The leg pain may be secondary to electrolyte imbalance or else which must be evaluated in personal examination itself. The gall bladder surgery will cure all of the current abdomen symptoms for sure.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
