What Causes Severe Nerve Pain In The Thighs?

I get severe nerve pain down the insides of my thighs... sometimes one at a time, and sometimes both at the same time. All my doctor has said was that it is nerve pain. I would like to know what causes it, and if there is anything I can do so it doesn t keep happening.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.

Nerve pain is due to many medical conditions like diabetes, Vitamin B12 deficiency, medications, trauma etc.

I advice you to
1. Do a full physical examination by your doctor
2. Blood glucose& lipid profile
3. Do regular exercise & YOGA
4.Take analgesics
5. Physiotherapy
6. Use splint & keep your legs elevated at bed times

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Get well soon.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
