What Causes Severe Pain And Bruise In Leg After Injury?

I fell over a catering pan which had been put on the floor last night. It felt like I had broken my leg, unable to put weight on it and very painful. I was working so struggled on. Tonight it is very bruised and incredibly sore to touch but not as bad when I walk on it.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that due to physical injury or traumatic injury there has been injury to the soft tissue fibres and small blood vessels leading to rupture of small blood vessels causing Hematoma formation and bruising..
The soreness or pain is due to inflammation..
You need not to worry as if you are able to put pressure over your leg to walk and its not painful then chances of bony fracture are less probable..
You should apply a numbing gel over the sore are to relieve pain..
You can take Ibuprofen for relieving pain and inflammation..
Do cool compresses over the painful area..
You can also apply a heparin gel for faster fading of the bruising and disintegration of hematoma..
Elevate your leg while lying down..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
