What Causes Severe Pain In Calf Radiating To Knee And Upper Thigh?

For the past two weeks when I lie down to go to sleep, I feels this pain in my calf. It continues to get worse until I get up and start to rub my leg. The pain radiates to my knee and upper thigh. It fades in and out radiating burning and charley horse type pain. If I lay on my side and place one leg over the other, I can t tolerate it. Now it seems to last longer and longer.
