What Causes Severe Pain In Foot And Shoulder Post Suffering With Ischemic Stroke?

Dear doctors, my brother had Ischaemic stroke in October 2013 when he was 41. we have tried acupuncture, massage and other ways for him. He is having high blood pressure tablets, aspirin and some Chinese herbs. Until now he can only speak a little and walk a little. His right side is almost paralysed. He feels pain in his foot and shoulder. His walking is worse than last year. His right foot is crooked when he walks. Is there any ways can help him recover? Your help is greatly appreciated! Kind regards, Josie

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Please carry on all activities you are doing already, these few things can be taken - craniosacral therapy [art of living ] is very helpful in this case. For pain, if he is not able chew, then i/v analgesic is one option or may got MRI if foot is more problematic for him.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
