What Causes Severe Pain In Stomach And Chest When Diagnosed With Chronic Gastritis?
Hello, I have been having severe stomach and chest pains for a month now. I have had problems like this before. I have been diagnosed with chronic gastritis in the past, but this is the most painful and severe attack I have ever had. I went on 2 antibiotics for 7 days as well as antacids but this pain will not go away. I feel like there are knives ripping thru my stomach and my chest. My stomach swells up really big even after eating a little bit. I have pain and difficulty when walking and breathing. Please advise what this could be and what else I can do. Thank you so much!
Endoscopy to take a look at the esophagus and stomach may be needed. This option should be discussed with your doctor.
In addition to the anti acids you may want to add medications from the proton pump inhibitor family eg nexium, prilosec, prevacid, protonix etc. These prevent acid formation.
I hope this helps

What Causes Severe Pain In Stomach And Chest When Diagnosed With Chronic Gastritis?
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic With a history of chronic gastritis, it is possible that the severe pain may indicate that there may be ulceration of the stomach or esophagus.
