Hello,

Injections into knee joint may lead to repeated trauma to the cartilage or prone to develop knee joint effusion and adhesions and swelling.

It may be an allergic reaction to the local injection or crystal-induced arthritis.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Please get one X-ray of joint with ultrasound of knee.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
