What Causes Severe Persistent Cough After Treating Metastasized Cervical Cancer In Neck?
I had my thyroid removed a year ago, along with some metastasized cervical cancer in my neck and on my vocal chord. I now have a cough that gets so severe that I can t stop, at times for hours. The ENT I ve been seeing has no answers. How can I stop the cough?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
I'm afraid, the cough you have suggests lung metastasis. It can be controlled by chemtherapy. You need to consult your onchologist urgently for confirmed diagnosis & treatment of the symptom.
Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
