Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have horrible pain right abdominal pain. Doctor at the ER said it was the flu but I only had one symptom of the flu. However I drink a lot of soda and I was wondering if that can lead to appendicitis? Also can I have appendicitis but it not show up on a CT scan? Also I had a kidney infection as of 3 weeks ago they said it would go away 3-4 days but the pain is still very persistent.
Thanks for asking. First I would like to ask when did you get the CT scan done? Since pain in right side of abdomen can happen because of gallbladder stone too or it may relate to liver also . Its better you go for a USG abdomen and discuss further to rule out the cause.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Maheshwari
