There are several other points i would want to know like:
1.was there drooling of secretions from mouth
2.was he unconscious after shaking
3.does he have fever
4. any family history of epilepsy etc

However grossly it looks like an epilepsy and better to do a EEG also as 13 year old is a age where seizures are epileptiformic. I am assuming MRI was with contrast. He might need anti epileptic drug
I find this answer helpful
