What Causes Severe Stomach Pain After Bowel Movement?
last night I must have pushed too hard to go to the bathroom. it effected my lower stomach with pain, a lot of pain. i m not sure what i should do to comfort the pain. I hae taken a mediction called Zipsor ... it relieved pain but now its back with a vengence ...]]
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of having pushed too hard to pass a bowel movement, that caused the pain in the abdomen , may be the abdominal wall and you have taken Zipser that is Diclofenac but the pain has returned with vengeance. This does indicate that most probably you have had tear or hematoma in one of the abdominal muscles. This can be confirmed by the following: Local examination, swelling, tenderness. High resolution ultrasonography. If present continue Zipser thrice daily. Take full bed rest. Avoid all the movements that cause strain on the abdominal muscles. Take mild laxative to keep stool soft.
