What Causes Severe Stomach Pain After Discontinuing Tramadol?
i have arthritis and have also been taking tramadol. recently my doctor told me to quit the tramadol because I akso take 8 mgs of methadone a day for back issues. But my sed rate is always high and since I stopped the tramadol( over a period of weeks) I am having stomach cramps and high, high inflamation. Is the tramadol the reason and what can I take as a substitute for anti-inflamatory? I cannot take motrin or aspirin because of bad stomach and esophogus issues. Take Nexium twice a day. Thank you. why don t you tell people up front about the charges? Obvious I guess? Forget me
Tramadol is an opioid group of drug. Its withdrawal may cause withdrawal symptoms in a few patients.
You take alternate medication under your doctor advice. It may act as an analgesic for pain relief.
Methadone, oxycodone etc may useful. But take care that these drugs may cause dependence. So please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
