What Causes Severe Tingling Sensation And Pain In The Thigh?

for about three days I had a tingling pain in my right thigh. It felt like sharp tiny needles making a fan shape plunge into the thigh. At first I thought it was an edge of my key ring and keys pressing on the area. I discovered it was not the case. It seemed to be more prominent when I sat, and after three days has disappeared. Prior to the initial episode I had a small knot at the base of my left ear lobe. The tingling pain episode was felt just once today. I personally feel that a virus could have been the culprit. I had not fever.

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

As there is a tingling sensation in the hip it could be due to muscle weakness leading to nerve entrapment. Doing hot water fermentation in the lower back will reduce the symptoms and with core stability exercise things should be controlled.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
