My husband had uncontrollable all over body tremors last night , he felt like he needed to urinate but couldnt, he kept saying he was ccccold. He was recently injured in a fall, spraining his left shoulder, so was on 800 mg of ibufrofen 3 xs daily, & norco, also we noticed he was retaining fluid from face to ankle last night on left side of body, he is also diabetic.

Hi,
800mg of Ibuprufen 3 times a day is a dose that is somewhere in the upper limit of normal. However, In diabetic patients, I would consider it still high dose for a diabetic kidney to handle. Ibuprufen is notorious to cause acute kidney damage and his symptoms are also suggestive of that. I wold suggest to take him to the ER at the earliest.
