Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Vomiting After A Meal In A Child?
My grandson is 18 months old. He vomits frequently, sometimes during or after mealtime (but not always at mealtime), There does not seem to be a pattern related to specific foods which cause the vomiting. I m wondering if he could have acid reflux or maybe a dairy allergy? The problem seemed to really start when he came off formula and started drinking 2 percent milk. Any advice? Thank you.
I think he is having trouble digesting the 2% milk. Is not an allergic reaction neither a reflux. I think he can have milk deleted with water and sugar added on order to be more acceptable for his organism.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
