Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Vomiting And Fatigue Long After Partial Hysterectomy?
I had a partial hysterectomy he nine years ago and a year later I had to have the rest of it removed like I said it s been going on over nine years now and I have symptoms every morning when I wake up some are so severe that I vomit for hours and then I am so exhausted. I was generally healthy person before and work to seven days a week and I will not able to hold a job because of the sickness.
Noted your history of hysterectomy 9 years ago, development of severe vomiting on waking up followed by exhaustion. Since the vomiting has started 1 year after the surgery it is difficult to know the cause unless investigated well. You do not have any bloating or pain as you have not mentioned so. Hence I would advise you the following: Consult a General Surgeon for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations. Upper GI Endoscopy. Barium swallow and meal. Tests of blood particularly serum electrolytes, liver function tests. All these will lead to a proper diagnosis and thus allow management to get a relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
