What Causes Severe Vomiting, Chest Pain And Breathing Difficulty?
My son has been throwing up for 3 weeks. He has not been able to hold anything down. He was first told he had pneumonia but er doctor he did not have that, they did blood work and it came back normal. Now he s back in er with sharp pain in chest and having trouble breathing.
Pneumonia may cause chest pain, shortness of breath and even vomiting. It is important for your son to have a chest x-ray and some blood tests such as CBC and ERS (or PCR). According to the results of the tests, further treatment will be decided.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
