What Causes Severe Vomiting In A Child After Taking Relent Syrup?
My 11 month daughter, weight 8.6 kgs is having nasal and throat congestion along with fever around 101 degrees. I give her ibugesic for fever (2ml), Advant for throat congestion and Relent syrup, However she vomits as soon as I give her Relent syrup. Can you please advise what could help her to get rid of the nasal congestion, I use nasoclear for blocked nose.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Understanding your concern and as per your query you have nasal and throat congestion along with fever and vomiting. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sore throat (viral or bacterial), post nasal drip, sinusitis, granular pharyngitis and acid reflux. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles several times a day, keep your head elevated while sleeping.
Consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order test like swab test, viral culture test, CT scan and physical examination with laryngoscope. Doctor may prescribe antibacterial or anti-viral depending upon the diagnosis along with decongestants, diphenhydramine and expectorants. Avoid eating spicy and heavy food, reduce intake of dairy products.
