What Causes Severe Vomitting, weakness And Subnormal Temperature?
My husband is 45 years old. About 8 years ago he had a case of what we were pretty sure was food poisoning & went to the emergency room. Since then he has had recurring bouts of severe vomiting with weakness, paleness, chills & subnormal temperature. These episode usually start early in the morning & last about 8 hours - very intense & scary. He drinks water / gatorade, but it comes back up. It had been happening every 6 months or so. But, it happened 2 days ago & now it s happening again. Being in a hot bath or shower is the only relief he can find until it s done. It seems to stop as suddenly as it starts. Then his color, energy (other than worn out from retching for hours) & temperature all come back. What could it be?
HI Well come to HCM Since 8 years your husband is having this problem and you said that because of the food poisoning this might have happening, but this may not be the case, but this could be gastritis and hyperacidity may be the cause of this, in my opinion the condition can be treated with Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day and Tab Domperidone 30 mg once in day, hope this helps you
