What Causes Sharp Chest Pains While Breathing?

I have have sharp pain in my chest sometimes when im just sitting somwhere or while playing sports and it hurts more if i breathe. Is this serious. Its been goin on since i was about 10, but my parents wouldnt take me to a doctor

Nothing to worry. Its common having chest pain with sharp type but better take a chest x-ray to rule out any other disease.
