What Causes Sharp Pain Above The Incision After A C-section?
I had a c section 3 weeks back . I had a sharp pulling pain on the right side above my incision which increased from sleeping to siting position and siting to standing. My doc told me it was muscular pain cox of stitches. It subsided 10 days post op. Now since two days m experiencing the same pain after having a strenuous past 2 days. When does this suture dissolve? If I rest n take muscle relaxants , will it subside? My external wound looks well healed ? Will I hv this pain even after months of recovery ?
It is normal to have pain after c section! It will take 4- 6 weeks to feel better. You can use pain killer, plenty of water and healthy food rich in fiber to prevent constipation, rest and be happy. You should take an appointment with your doctor if: you have intense cramps, fever, urinary incontinence, the wound is swelling or excessive bleeding.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
