Hi, I am a 19 yr old female who has spent three weeks straight in the hospital with family members. Two of my family members have been patients and I have spent every day and night up there with them. The second day I stayed with them, I noticed a sharp pain that seemed to be coming from my heart every time I took a deep breath. The next day, the pain was inferior to my heart. I am assuming the heart pain was nothing more than referred pain. The pain has gotten worse for three weeks, and it has gotten to the point to where I have to take shallow breaths to keep from hurting. What could this be?
