What Causes Sharp Pain In Chest Radiating Towards Lower Back?

Have been awake half the night with shockingly sharp pain in the chest, especially when I move/ roll over. This morning since getting up, it has spread to my lower back as well. I have been prescribed Movalis in the past to help treat Sciatica. I am wondering if there is a good anti-inflammatory available over the counter, or do I really need to go & wait it out to see a GP at the medical centre?

Please visit a doctor immediately and get an ECG done. Your pain may be muscular as you feel, but it is important to get an ECG done and also to be evaluated by a doctor since your pain is sharp and spreading type. It is important to rule out heart related and pancreas related problems before trying to brush it off with over the counter anti inflammatory meds. Best regards.
