Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
muscle strain in shoulders diagnosed almost two years ago. Limited range of motion in neck severe pain. Upper back is in chronic pain. Deltoids are tender almost daily some worse than others. Did physical therapy for six weeks continued the exercises that do not cause pain and apply heat and take very warm baths for comfort. Recently left arm is having sharp shooting pains out of no where just begun. However this has happened in the past. Going to primary care doctor next week any ideas on what this might be and if I should push for testing rather than going back to therapy?
Hi, From history it seems that there might be having degenerative changes in your cervical spines and shoulder joint producing cervical spondilitis and peri-artheritis of shoulder joints. Go for x-ray cervical spines anf shoulder joints. Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined. Short way diathermy, physiotherapy of shoulder joints and neck will be helpful. Take calcium, vitamin A and D supplements. Ok and take care.
