Hello dear,
The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to acute exacerbation of Asthma, secondary to
respiratory tract infection. Wheezing is caused due to broncho-constriction (obstruction of smaller airway passages) which is indicative of Hyper-responsiveness of air passages due to asthma.
Management consists of:
1. A course of antibiotics as prescribed by your treating Doctor.
2. Asthalin+ Seroflo inhaler- provide symptomatic relief by causing broncho-dilation (dilating the smaller airway passages, relieving the obstruction & increasing airflow to lungs)
So, it can be used during an acute attack.
3.
Montelukast preparations- used as a maintenance therapy to relieve symptoms of asthma.
4. Antihistamines like
Cetrizine can also be used to provide symptomatic relief.
5. Steam inhalation and deep
breathing exercise.
6. Also make sure that you are well protected from exposure to cold, dust or other allergens.
The sensation of
dizziness can be attributed to fatigue/ exertion following acute attack of asthma.
Maintain adequate hydration & proper nutrition status.
Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
