I have been diagnosed with a fib for several yrs...tried propanolol....didn't seem to work....still have flutter....light headedness....shortness of breath at times....should I have an electro conversion done and does it hurt, it looks scary and I have heard some horror stories 39 yr old male 189 lbs MVP AFib
hi, if you have a fib since many years then it's less likely to be reversed by cardioversion. so I think it's not worth trying. drugs are very effective, tab metoprolol xr 50 mg can b tried, if still not controlled then tab diltiazem Cd 90 mg can also be tried. so not worry, drugs are very effective, we just need to optimize it. Your thyroid test must have been done, if not please get it done.
