Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the last 4 + months, my heart has been "skipping beats". I can tell when it happens because it is difficult to breath, I start sweating, I feel dizzy and very weak (sometimes I can't even walk). When I have an "episode" my BP is around 50. My heart never speeds up, it just beats very slowly and skipps every now and then. The episodes leave me feeling exhausted and some days are worse than others. I have no chest pain, I don't drink caffein, smoke, drink, or do drugs. I am 23 yr/old female who has a very healthy life style. These can't be PVC's because I have all these other symptoms, and I don't feel anxious at all. The episodes happen when I am out and about, laying around the house, or sleeping. What do you think is wrong with me??
If you get palpitations or skip beats and you feel dizzy same time then you must get a basic cardiac evaluation done so that any underlying heart disease can be managed at right time.
Kindly get an ECG, Echocardiography and a Holter (ambulatory ECG) done and consult a physician with reports for further treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
