What Causes Sleeplessness After Having Febrile Convulsion In A 2 Year Old?
Hi my daughter is 2 years old and since last November when she had first febrile convulsion she has not been sleeping properly and keeps waking up maybe 1 or more times a night screaming and I have tried self soothe technique and also tea bath and bed routine and neither of them work do you think she could have a sleeping problem

After febrile convulsion you baby has developed fear complex that has caused insomnia. If convulsion was less than for two mintues it may be febrile convulsion. If i have to treat such a patient i will advice syrup tricloryl one tea spoon at bed time. If fit reoccurs i will advice to consult for investigation and treatment a neurologist. I
