General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Any surgical procedure with colon was found to have distressful discharge from vagina due to anatomical vicinity of two organs.
Uterine (fibroid) or cervical (polyp) can present with such problem after 3 months of surgery.
If the cause of colostomy was malignancy... there is likely good of involvement of vagina/uterus in form of secondaries... this needs to be excluded by investigations & advise of the surgeon.
Please be patient & try to find the cause with expert help get it retreated specifically.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
