Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
one of my friends has some phobia problem, when he free come negative thoughts, like I am not healthy, may some disease in my body, fear going in a crowd, fear traveling with air(afraid only thinking that he is going to travel by airplane) and always come negative thought, or fear by imagine only. what he should do for that?
I appreciate your concern for your friend and it is good that you have been able to identify his problems and seek help for him. From the description of his symptoms it appears that your friend is likely to be suffering from an anxiety disorder. He also seems to have a few specific phobias as well.
The good news is that there is good professional help and treatment available for his problems. So, I would advise you to ask him to consult a psychiatrist in his place for a detailed evaluation. After the evaluation and confirmation of diagnosis, appropriate treatment should be started promptly. Treatment would be with anti-anxiety medication as well as with psychological therapy (counselling). With regular treatment and counselling, he will be able to gradually overcome his problems.
