i just would like to know that sometimes in night a sour mucus comes in my throat while I am sleeping? Then I have to wake up eat couple of anti acid pills like tums or prescribed medication like nexium and stay awake for 15 20 minutes and then it cools down after I cough and throw the mucus out...

As per your query sore mucus in throat while sleeping is because of post nasal drip or seasonal allergies which causes mucus build up on throat known as phlegm due to bacterial infection. I would suggest you to take few preventive measure such as do warm saline gargles 3-4 times a day. You should add eucalyptus oil to a pan of boiling water and inhale steam. Avoid hot, sharp and spicy foods. Visit ENT speacialst once if symptoms keeps on persisting and go for sputum test.
