What Causes Sore Nipples And Abdominal Cramps After Stopping Birth Control Pills?
Hi I have been off birth control for 2 weeks now..I had my withdrawal bleed. I have been having inter course regularly since coming off the pill and have started to experience very sore nipples when touched, abdominal cramping particularly in the right side, bloating and headaches..could I be pregnant?
Hello, Thankyou for asking your question at health care magic.
Since you have been sexually active and off birth control pills, there is possibility of pregnancy. But since you are complaining of right sided abdominal pain, ectopic pregnancy need to be ruled out ,especially in the context of other symptoms and your history. Measuring blood beta HCG levels and pelvic ultrasound is needed at this point. I recommend that you consult your doctor /go to the emergency room as soon as possible.
Hope I was able to answer your question. Please feel free to address any more concerns. Regards, Dr.Lekshmi
