What Causes Sore On The Buttocks?

My wife has had ms for 40 years. She has a pressure sore on her buttocks.. (2 years) SHE RECENTLY ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL. hER WHITE BLOOD COUNT INDICATED SHE HAS AN INFECTION.rECENTLY THEY STARTED HER ON pIP tEZ. The last two days ,while on the drug she has become very lacluster and sleepy. She tries but is unable to speak.

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your wife suffering from MS that is multiple sclerosis. and has pressure sore on her buttocks hence the Doctors kept her on antibiotics but now she has stopped speaking, became lacluster and sleepy.
The causes can be as follows:
- Advancing multiple sclerosis.
- Electrolyte imbalance
- Dehydration.
- And other rare causes which needs clinical evaluation and examination.
I would advise you the following:
Take an opinion of a Neurologist.
All the investigations as per the clinical evaluation and examination to get a proper diagnosis and treat accordingly.
