What Causes Sore Throat And Fever After Oral Sex?

Hi...within 24 hours after giving oral sex, i got a sore throat and fever. I frequently get canker sores, and it looks like the back of my throat has a canker sore. Mucus is building up on it, but it washes down when i drink warm water. I spent the 24 hours after giving oral sex stressing that I had HIV or something...do you think I have an STD or you think the stress most likely caused me to get a canker sore?

thank you for query.The chances of transmission of HIV by unprotected vaginal route is 1/ 200 to 1/2000 even if the partner is HIV infected.It is least with oral intercourse.so relax and do not worry.The symptoms are non specific and can be due to stress ulcers or apthous or fungal infection.it is not due to HIV.so you relax.take warm water ,rinse with saline .use any antibiotic mouth wash.if does not subside consult doctor.else You can get back for any clarifications with details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and venereologist.
