What Causes Sore Throat And White Spots In The Throat?
i developed a sore throat while in Mexico three days ago and it has gotten worse. I returned home yesterday. today i noticed its really red, there are some white spots on the sides of my throat and its hard to breathe and causing pain in my neck and jaw/cheek area.

I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and go for blood and throat swab test as well.
Till then, you should do warm saline gargles and suck on lemon candy. Avoid intake of spicy food and cold beverages. Do warm saline gargles and maintain complete hygiene.
Take a proper course of antibiotic drug such as Azithromycin along with anti-inflammatory medications.
