What Causes Sore Throat, Cough, Blocked Nostril, Tongue Ulcer And Fever?

I have a very sore throat, hardly able to swallow. Coughing up light brown mucus, cannot pass any air through nostrils, and a low grade fever. I have some tongue ulcers also. I cannot sleep at night because after 2 hrs i wake up soaked and with severe dry mouth. Going to th Dr in morning I am feeling awful

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sore throat, cough, blocked nostril, tongue ulcer and fever, the symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as granular pharyngitis. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order test like blood test , culture test and throat swab test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotic drugs like Floxacillin along with anti inflammatory drug. You should take Ibuprofen along with acetaminophen. For now do warm saline gargles and avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. Sip on luke warm water.
