okay so it started with a sore throat then a bad fever and now coughing and what seems to be blood in my mucus. i also keep getting bad ear aches and stomach pains, but it isnt the flu. i dont know if this adds up to anything but i cut my knee accidently and the blood was very thick and clotty, which isnt normal for me. any ideas what could be going on?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are commonly related to a cold or flu. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms. I also recommend to use a throat spray for antibacterial properties. I recommend to drink liquids and rest. To evaluate the thick blood, I suggest to do a complete blood count and the platelets level for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
