My husband has had a deep voice for 1 week. It started with a sore throat that lasted for 3 days and then went away. Then, his voice got deep and a little hoarse. He also says that his chest feels a little tight. Should we be concerned? He's 47 years old and has never been a smoker. What should we do for it?
Hi, It seems that due to upper respiratory tract infection there might be having edema on vocal cord producing hoarseness of voice. Give complete rest to vocal cord. Go for Vicks vapor or tincture benzoine inhalation. Do antiseptic gargles. use vitamin C or medicated lozenges. Avoid fried, cold drinks and junk food. Ok and take care.
