For high BP, lifelong treatment is required with a combination of medicines to effectively control BP. Besides medicines, lifestyle changes are needed for sustained control of high BP. Fluctuation in BP is very common in patients with high BP and if it occurring frequently then you need frequent monitoring and readjustment and review of treatment options. For control of blood pressure (BP), initially one drug is recommended. If one drug does not control BP effectively, then a combination of two, three, and four drugs depending upon control of BP, is recommended.
You have not written anything about your current medications which you are taking for high BP. If you would have written here, I could have suggested in detail. You can write later on.
Advice
1.     Continue all medicines as suggested
2.     Regular exercise at least 30 minutes for 5 days in a week. The best types of exercise for lowering BP are walking, jogging, cycling, swimming and dancing
3.     Eating a diet that is rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products
4.     Consume less salt
5.     Avoid smoking, alcohol, coffee and caffeinated beverages
6.     Lose extra weight if you are overweight
7.     Measure your BP regularly and be in touch with your doctor
8.     Investigations
d.     Blood sugar (fasting & post-prandial)
