Hello,
You are experiencing stabbing pain at the back of your head. Pain at the back of the head can occur due to various medical conditions. They are as follows.
Tension headache that occur in the back and side of the head.
Cluster headache that occur at the back or side of the head and may get worse on lying down.
Cervicogenic headache occurs at the back of the head, temples, behind the eyes, the cause being herniated disc in the
cervical spine.
Occipital neuralgia causes sharp, aching, throbbing pain that starts at the base of the head / neck and moves toward your scalp.
You are suggested to maintain correct posture while sitting, standing walking or sleeping. Avoid working on laptops or PC continuously for a long period. Get X-ray done to detect herniated cervical disc, etc. Get clinically examined by a GP, get required tests and investigations done. You will be accordingly treated. In the meantime, take acetaminophen or Combiflam, one SOS when needed to reduce hurt and discomfort.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
