I have a stiff painfull hand and occasionally slightly sunken veins in the same arm. The pain original began in the knuckle of one finger and spread over a few weeks. I don t know if it its relevant but I have dislocated the shoulder on the same arm a number of times and one previous occasion lost all telling in the arm for a few days.

What Causes Stiff And Painful Veins In The Arm?
Hello, I read carefully your query and understand your concern. Your symptoms seem to be related to phlebitis which is an inflammation of the vein. I suggest to do an ultrasound of the leg for further evaluation. Meanwhile,I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms. Hope my answer was helpful. If you have further queries feel free to contact me again. Kind regards! Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi General &Family Physician
