What Causes Stiff Neck, Bone Pain, Night Sweats And Leaking Of Bowel?
Hello My husband is 59yrs old recently stared getting very stiff neck,(whole bodt moves when he turns his head) bones ache and are tender on any contact, very severe night sweat (pillow and bed like jug of water spilled). Works out door all the time. Comes home with cuts all the time. has not had tetanus injection in last 10yrs. Has leakage from the bowel (very strong family history of bowel Cancer Both paternal and maternal), GP not interested in long chat.
Stiff neck is commonly indicative of cervical spondylosis. Poor posture, muscle strain, slipped disc. He should get clinically examined and get Imaging (CT, MRI, X-ray) tests done. Since he is having bone pain and also night sweats, it may be indicative of some serious medical condition.
He has history of bowel cancer (both parental sides) and is presently experiencing leaking of bowel, he is suggested to get a complete medical check up done. Get all required tests, investigations and imaging tests done to detect the pathology so that the treatment can be started at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
