What Causes Stiffness And Soreness In The Body Of An Insulin Dependent Person?

I recently had to go to the ER, a month ago, and I was told I was in ketoacidosis from a allergic reaction to a medicine I started 2 months ago called Invocana. Since I was released I have been on insulin and have gained 23 lbs in the last month. Last week I started having soreness all over my body. Very tender and stiff when I try to move to get up. Feet are swollen, actually my stomach is very swollen and is tender and hurts to touch. My neck and neck hurts, what is this?

Hi,

This sounds like fluid retention or ascites and can happen in diabetes patients due to kidney involvement. You should see your diabetologist soon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist.
