What Causes Stiffness In Joints Along With Muscle Spasms?

I have pain in my neck and joints( stiffness really). It felt as though every muscle in my body was having spasms. ( triggering uncontrollable jerking--- like someone with Parkinson s). Waves of nausea and headache also-- I m not sure if I was running a fever or not--- overall fatigue and dizziness. I took acetomemiphine and feel a little better. Still stiff neck.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Pain and stiffness in muscles of neck and other parts of body needs to be investigated.
The pain and stiffness can be experienced after trauma like fall or trauma.
Infection is unlikely to be associated with pain and stiffness since infection is commonly associated with fever.
Moreover, infections do not cause pain and stiffness of muscles all over the body.
Uncontrollable jerking suggests presence of some neurological disease.
Accompanying nausea and vomiting may or may not be associated with the muscle disease.
Fatigue and dizziness may be due to muscle stiffness.
You may take acetomorphen or paracetamol for pain relief but the underlying cause for pain needs to be looked for.
I suggest you to consult your physician for clinical assessment and to look for the cause of pain and stiffness all over the body.

Thanks and take care
