What Causes Stomach Ache, Bubbling And Gurgling After Eating In A Child?
My 4 year old complains of tummy aches after she eats all of the time, I listened and she has a lot of bubbling and gurgling.... I have ruled out celiac and lactose intolerance through blood testing... I feel so bad for her and need answers, please help
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history about your 4 year old daughter who gets tummy aches after she eats, happens all the times, has lots of bubbling and gurgling, Lactose intolerance and Celiac has been ruled out, wants an answer... The commonest cause of pain in abdomen in small children after taking food is as follows: Appendicitis. Lymph node enlargement. Worm infestation. Diverticulitis or any inflammatory disease that can get reflex problems once the food reaches the stomach. I would advise you the following: Get a clinical evaluation and examination by a Pediatric Surgeon so that the probable cause can be found out and further investigations of stool, blood and urine along with high resolution endoscopy be done. Once the cause is found, treatment either medical and/or surgical be done to get the complete cure.
