What Causes Stomach Cramps On The Right Side During Early Pregnancy?
I am 5 weeks pregnant and only have my right fallopian tube because I lost my left tube to an ectopic preg 18 hrs ago. I am having same kind of cramping on my right side. It is not severe and comes and goes. If it is ectopic, would I be feeling the pain from it at 5 weeks pregnant?
Hi, In view of the past history, you should get a trans-vaginal sonogram to rule out another ectopic pregnancy as soon as possible. This excluded, cramping can be due to tubal contractions, uterine contraction as the embryo is implanted and also can be due to the pulling effect of the ligaments supporting the uterus as it enlarges. Please do not stress, take as much bed rest as possible, avoid sexual intercourse and follow your doctor's instructions. Pain from an ectopic unruptured pregnancy would be constant, while a ruptured pregnancy can lead to shock. Hope this helps.
