Hello,
You are experiencing pins and needles in your stomach. Cramps and abdominal discomfort are normal before and during menstruations. She should stay at rest and avoid doing any heavy work. it can also occur due to
gastritis or
GERD. She should avoid taking oily, spicy, junk food.
She can take antacids and PPIs, one SOS when required. She will get relieved. She can take Spasmol (
spasmoproxyvon), one stat to be taken if discomfort continues. However, such symptoms can also be indicative of medical conditions like
endometriosis, endometriosis adhesions that may be affecting the ovary.
Sometimes, ovarian torsion or
nerve impingement internally can cause compromised blood supply, and hence pins and needle sensation / feeling. You are suggested to get her clinically examined by a Gynae, get all required tests and investigations done. If torsion of ovary is detected she may require a laparoscopic surgical procedure to untwist the ovary.
Other medical conditions that can cause such symptoms are
IBS, Crohn's disease,
appendix, parasite infestation, etc. Get required imaging tests, CBC, stool examination (R/E and C/S), etc., done so that you will be treated accordingly at the earliest. She should stay away from addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
