Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Stomach, Extreme Gas Pain With Flaky, Grainy Stool?
For the past eight months I have been having bouts of stomach pain, extreme gas and diarrhea. I have had both a colonoscopy and an upper endoscopy which led my GI to diagnose me with acid reflux. Since going on Prilosec, my diarrhea has seemed to stop but it has been replaced with flaky or grainy poop. (It looks like there is dirt or sand on the bottom of the bowl (falls off of the rest of the poop)). In addition, I am still having extreme gas pains and sometimes just normal pains that radiate to my lower back. It also tends to get worse when I haven't eaten in a while.
Well come to HCM Thank for asking Your query being appreciated, it must be hyperacidity but it seems to be associated with infection and it could be bacterial infection, if I would be doctor of this case then I would try to treat this case with Tab Omeprazole 40 mg with Tab Domperidone 10 mg once in day, Tab Amoxicillin 500 mg twice in day with Metronidazole 400 mg twice in day for five days, it is similar to H.Pylori and it can also helps in this infection hope this information helps.
