What Causes Stomach Pain After Undergoing Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy?
Hi.. My wife had undergone a laproscopic cholecystomy (gall bladder removal) on 20th Nov... for few days she was fine but after 3-4 days she experience severe pain in abdomen... doctor diagnosed leakage in bile duct and perfomed ERCP and placed a stent to control the leakage.. but now problem is that she still experience severe stomach ache.. doctors are not very sure about this as there was nothing came out during ultrasound... plz help
Finding the cause of abdomen pain is much challenging some time it is difficult to come on any conclusion as the investigative reports turned unremarkable. If I would be a doctor of this case, then I would ask for a CT abdomen with contrast medium, to me it could be nonspecific pain, maybe colic abdomen pain, differential diagnosis is a matter of concern, like UTI (Urinary tract infection ) intestinal pathologies, infection, you can discuss with her doctor about this.
