Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Stomach Pain And Back Pain Inspite Of Having Kidney Stones, IBS And Indigestion?
Yes, I have a question. I have pain in the right lower portion of my stomach along with pain about the same place in my back. My Doctor has told me that they couldn't do a cat scan with the dye because my kidney numbers weren't good. (the has been happening for a while)....He indicated that I do have kidney stones but they are not causing this pain. I have also had indigestion for the first time. I have irritable bowel syndrome but it doesn't show like this. In your estimation am I closer to saying (from my reading) that is an ulcer, inflammation of the pancreas or a hernia

Emergency Medicine Specialist, Dr. Arora's Response
I read your complaints. Short answer: inflammation of duodenum (duodenal ulcers) ( Abdominal worms)
Long answer: It is necessary to have a stool test for worms and occult blood, pus or mucus. It is necessary to also do a sonography abdomen to rule out pancreatitis( in case you consume tobacco , or alcohol or both) If your creatinine level in blood is less than 1.2 you can go in for a ct scan of abdomen . In any case u must also rule out Gall stones in bladder by a sonography. Then when the reports are done , we can then go further. It is best to also meet a gastro -enterologist
